This document outlines step-by-step instructions for installing and configuring the Microsoft Authenticator app to enhance the security of your B!G account by enabling two-factor authentication.
Important: Select Your Preferred Setup Method
Method 1: Using Two Devices (Recommended)
If you have two (2) devices, one to install the Authenticator app and another to access the setup page.
Method 2: Using a Single Device
If you are using only one (1) device both to install the Authenticator app and access the setup page.

Step 1: Install the Microsoft Authenticator App
For iOS Users:
Open the App Store and search for Microsoft Authenticator
Alternatively, scan the QR code provided below
For Android Users:
Open the Google Play Store and search for Microsoft Authenticator
Alternatively, scan the QR code provided below.
Step 2: Access the Setup Page on your Secondary Device (Laptop or Ipad)

Using a separate device, open a web browser and go to:
👉 aka.ms/mfasetup
Step 3: Sign In With Your Company Credentials
Enter your B!G email address and temporary password that was provided to you.
The email format should be:firstname.lastname@brandinfluencegroup.com
Step 4: Update Your Password (If Prompted)
If the system prompts you to update your password, follow the instructions to create a new one.

Step 5: Begin the Authenticator Setup
After logging in, you will see a screen titled "Let’s keep your account secure."
Click “Next.”
Step 6: Continue Setup Instructions
The next screen will prompt you to set up the Microsoft Authenticator app. Since you have already installed the app, click “Next” to proceed.
Step 7: Confirm Setup
Click “Next” once more to initiate the setup process.
Step 8: Display the QR Code
A QR Code will now appear on your screen. Keep this window open as you will need to scan the QR code with your mobile device.
Step 9: Open the Authenticator App on Your Phone
Launch the Microsoft Authenticator app.
Accept any prompts for notifications or permissions.
Tap the "+" icon and select “Work or school account.”
Choose “Scan QR code” and scan the QR code displayed on your secondary device.
Step 10: Scan the QR Code
Using your mobile device, scan the QR code displayed on your secondary device (as shown in Step 8).
Once the QR code is successfully scanned, your email address should appear in the Microsoft Authenticator app, similar to the example shown below.
Step 11: Return to Your Secondary Device
After scanning the QR code, return to your secondary device and select “Next” to continue with the setup process.
Step 12: Let's try it out
You will now be prompted to verify the functionality of the Microsoft Authenticator app.
Enter the two-digit code displayed on your secondary device into your mobile device, then select “Yes” to confirm.
Step 13: Notification Approved
If the code entered matches, a confirmation message stating "Notification Approved" will appear. Click “Next” to proceed.
Step 14: Add Your Phone Number
You will be prompted to add your phone number as a secondary authentication method.
Enter your country code and phone number, then click “Next.” You will receive a verification code via SMS.

Once you receive the SMS code, enter it in the provided field and click “Next.” A message confirming “Verification Complete” will be displayed.
Step 15: Success!
You have successfully registered your work account (B!G) for Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) using the Microsoft Authenticator app on your mobile phone.

Step 1: Install the Microsoft Authenticator App

Step 2: Open Microsoft Authenticator
Launch the Microsoft Authenticator app on your mobile device. Ensure that you allow all necessary notifications and permissions requested by the app then click "Skip"
Step 3: Access the Setup Page
Keep Microsoft Authenticator app still running in the background, open your preferred web browser (e.g., Chrome, Safari, or Edge), and go to the following URL: 👉 aka.ms/mfasetup
Step 4: Sign In With Your Company Credentials
Enter your B!G email address and temporary password that was provided to you.

Step 5: Update Your Password (If Prompted)
If the system prompts you to update your password, follow the instructions to create a new one.
Step 6: Begin the Authenticator Setup

The next screen will prompt you to set up the Microsoft Authenticator app. Since you have already installed the app, click “Next” to proceed.
Step 8: Link Your Account to the App
Click "Pair your account to the app by clicking this link."
Step 9: Launch the Microsoft Authenticator
After clicking the link, the Microsoft Authenticator app will automatically launch.
If prompted, allow notifications.
Your email address should now appear in the app.
Step 10: Continue Setup in Browser
Return to your web browser and click Next.
Step 11: Verify Authenticator Functionality
You will now be prompted to test the functionality of your Microsoft Authenticator App.
Note the two digit number.
Step 12: Enter Verification Code
Return the Microsoft Authenticator app, enter the two-digit code, and tap Yes to approve.
Step 13: Confirm Approval
Return to the browser. If the code was entered correctly, you will see a confirmation message.
Click Next to continue.
Step 14: Add a Secondary Authentication Method
You will now be prompted to add your mobile number as a secondary authentication method.
Select your country code
Enter your mobile number, then click Next
Step 15: Mobile Verification
If prompted to verify a code, enter the displayed code and click "Next".
Step 16: Confirm SMS Code
The system will send a code to your mobile number.
Once received, enter the code and click "Next".
If the code matches, a message confirming "Verification Complete" will be displayed.
Click "Next"
Step 17: Success!
You have successfully registered your work account (B!G) for Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) using the Microsoft Authenticator app on your mobile phone.
If you encounter any issues during the setup, please submit a ticket by clicking 'Request'
